B-Daman Crossfire English Dub Discussion
#61
Since Vortexx is CW 4Kids TV, that means it will cut out some parts of the episodes. It usually happens to some of the shows in 4kids TV. They will cut out parts or make changes to the script a small bit. Either that, or 4kids turned a new leaf, and allows you to see the episodes easily. But some people don't even care. *In a way, it's dubbed and that what matters.

EDIT: I meant *"Anyway, it's dubbed and that's what matters."

"In a way"? It is dubbed.

I wonder if SUNRIGHTS noticed that the glass was present at 1:52 and 1:58 but randomly gone during 2:08.

EDIT: Apparently it was a typo and his dubbed name is actually Basara Kurochi.

The B-Animal images are very cool, especially Drift Jaku, Thunder Bison and Smash Dragold's. Alba and Lightning=Diles aren't documented though.

B-Daman Crossfire premieres Saturday, August 17 at 10:30 AM. I won't be able to watch it but I hope somebody records it.

If the people capable don't find this 'important enough' to record, I'll be furious.

Relax, IX, I'll record it. It'll get some screwups, so yeah.

He means the actually show on TV. I'm sure the folks over at Cartoon World will do it; they usually do all animes on weekends.

Cartoon World? Is that a channel at the UK?

neat I'll have to see about catching it when it shows on the the vortex, also I think Simon's voice suits him quite well, and they kept the chattering laugh thing he does

Edit: does anyone else see the resemblance between smash dragold's b-animal and the winged dragon of ra?

Sadly, there's way too much resemblance between them. Then again, they're both golden dragons, and both animes are directed by TV Tokyo, so they may have recycled the look thinking that none of us would notice.

"Sadly"? "directed by TV Tokyo"?

Manaphy, TV Tokyo has no control over the B-Daman anime. That control belongs to d-rights and Synergy SP; the former creating the concept and the latter with the animation. Plus, it could have been an intentional homage. It doesn't matter because it doesn't stop it from looking beast.

You're not entirely correct. The likes of Beyblade and B-Daman returned because TV Tokyo requested them, and they have a say in some actions that go on. Yes, probably not Dragold's look (I apologise for that), but there are some other things that they can influence, however small they are.

I'm skeptical about that.

TAKARA TOMY brought back Beyblade and B-Daman for a new generation. A new generation means new interest for new profit. TV Tokyo is just a television channel, and TAKARA TOMY commissioned anime for d-rights to create. TAKARA TOMY only purchases TV Tokyo time slots for their shows. I doubt TV Tokyo really cares about kids' programming, especially those to advertise toys...

Actually TV Tokyo does have a say in the matter, they aren't just a television channel.

Nowadays Anime are created through 制作員会 (Production Committees), it has been like this since the bubble economy collapsed in Japan. Companies don't have the luxury of investing tons of money into an anime only to see it flop and go bankrupt. So production committees lower that risk. These production committees are made up of sponsors/investors and each sponsor chips in something to the production committee. Because of this each gets a say in the Anime's production, direction, promotion etc. TVTokyo is a sponsor of the B-Daman Committee, in other words they also chip in to B-Daman's production committee, probably through the ads that air during the channel, etc. In any case, because of this, they do get a say in the matter.

And if you don't believe me or need proof then just look at the last frame of the opening. At the bottom left it has the Kanji 製作 which trasnlates to prouduction, followed by TVTOKYO, d-rights etc. These are the companies that are in the production committee and who "sponsor" the show in a sense. They each have a say in the matter. So yes, because TVTOKYO is a part of the production committee that is clearly seen in each episode they do have a say in the matter.

Anyways I hope you learned something today Smile

And also hear are some sources in case you need extra proof or just want to read up to educate yourself some more.

Oh, I apologize Manaphy. Apparently TV Tokyo isn't just a television channel like I thought. Regardless, we're off-topic.

any idea who the artist of dragold's b-animal was? perhaps they are the same person?

That would be the character designer(s).

According to Anime News Network, Yu-Gi-Oh! had Michi Himeno and Shingo Araki. However Cross Fight B-Daman only had Kenji Fujisaki.
