newbie that is trying to pick out a starter
#1
okay, I was looking for something that I could collect and use competitively when I remembered a show I watched a few years back....I had no clue what it was called. all I remembered was the premise, marble shooters, and that it was on CW vortex. when I saw that it was being imported by Hasbro from japan I knew the show was being run to sell murch so I checked it out. it looked fun so I decided I should give it a shot (pun intended).

anywho, I have know clue witch B-daman to get, I have 10 dollars on amazon so that's my limit any recommendations? keep in mind I'm a pretty big guy (bigger then most adults...I am considered a behemoth or a giant by most)

also any good events in the tulsa/sand springs region?

also I am a devils advocate type, in other words if I'm arguing don't take it seriously, I'm probably just bored

First of all, what kind of B-daman are you looking for? Power Type, Control Type or Rush(Rapid Fire) Type?
- Power Type = of course powerful shots, slow speed when it comes to rapid shooting, shots are not 100% accurate enough to hit target(unless lucky enough or knowing how to use the B-daman), its maybe around 50-50 chances?
- Control Type = medium powered shots, medium speed when it comes to rapid shooting(sometimes), shots are most likely to be more accurate than others.
- Rush Type = somewhat weak shots, fast to very fast speed when it comes to shooting(depending on core type), shots tend to miss a lot on target unless u know how to use the B-daman again.

There are lots of B-daman types though but I am not sure whcih B-daman series are you aiming for. The latest is Cross Fight B-daman and Cross Fight B-daman eS and the previous ones i know of are Crash B-daman, Battle B-daman & Battle B-daman Fire Spirits.

Try posting some more samples to what kind are you looking for.

control is top priority, rapid fire is second, and power is third...I would still like enough power to knock out break bomber blocks though

a gimmick would be nice but not a requirement

and, if possible, compatible with the cross fight mags and barrels ( not sure if different gens can't be crossed with each other

Lets see now, where to start........
For control, You can choose from the following cross fight b-daman units:
- Steer=Eagle -> Power and Control Type
http://bdaman.wikia.com/wiki/Strike_Avian
- Stroke=Orochi -> Control Type although The power and rapid fire of teh one is equal, not sure.
http://bdaman.wikia.com/wiki/Strike_Cobra
- Force=Dragren -> More on Control Type, somewhat ok rapid but cant say for power type though...
http://bdaman.wikia.com/wiki/Strike_Dragren
- Round=Tigare -> Control and Rapid but power is weak, not entirely weak though.
http://bdaman.wikia.com/wiki/Strike_Tigare
And theres Smash=Dragold....(more of a balance type)
- It has its own gimmic that its wings serves as different functionality from becoming a mini magazine, a barrel & Increasing Power although the barrel part is not that reliable from time to time.....
http://bdaman.wikia.com/wiki/Smash_Dragold

For the cross fight b daman seriesSadCommon gimmic: emblem charge, supposed to increase shot's power when activated but not always or just needs proper usage)
- Slot=Beetle -> Control Type (control with a bit of rapid fire along the way, weak power? someone confirm this)
http://bdaman.wikia.com/wiki/Slot_Stinger
- Kreis=Raydra ->Control Type (control type with a bit of power, somewhat slow in shooting?)
http://bdaman.wikia.com/wiki/Kreis_Raydra
- Assault=Dragren->Control & POwer (good control and power at the same time, but somewhat slow in rapid fire because of the long trigger)
http://bdaman.wikia.com/wiki/Assault%3DDragren
- Across=Eagle ->Somewhat similar with Assault=Dragren but Assault=Dragren is a bit more better or just the same, idk.
http://bdaman.wikia.com/wiki/Across%3DEagle

I woudn't recommend across=eagle as a starter because u need to buy the cannon drive=garuburn box set that includes the core for eagle which is not good for budget. and body parts is sold separately.

F.Y.I.
I am using names from the japanese version of cross fight so don't worry about the naming from the wiki since it is based from the dub version which I still don't prefer using.

Also, you can search for rolloutreviews on youtube to get some feedback on the b-daman that I mentioned above just to give you an idea how they work and such.

Cheers!

P.S.
For the question on capabilities on magazines and barrels, each one of them are compatible with one another for example the wide magazine(season 1) can still be used for lets say Assault=Dragren(2nd Season) and another example is the cyclone magazine(2nd season) can be used by lets say Round=Tigare(1st Season)

But of course there are some limitations to some tune up gears, for example:
Th Cannon Arm tune up gear, it is compatible with first season b-daman toys but the emblems don't work at all for the 1st season cores since the cores on 1st season is not designed for emblem charge gimmic but u can still equip them regardless.

I am not sure if there is at least 1 tune up gear from 2nd season that is not compatible to 1st season b-daman but you don't have to worry about that right now.

thank you greatly, and I've already seen a lot of rollouts reveiws

a few things came up so I might not get a B-daman yet...

I just can't decide how I want to spend my money really...I don't know when I'll get money next so I want to get something I could use often...and B-daman are a little niche right now (in other words I might get something else that I could play with people at school or online)

terribly sorry...I'll probably get one later on when I've got a little more dough

also I go by a similar philosophy as your sig,  "perfection is a flaw in itself"
